Eagles player Bradham charged with having gun at airport

CORRECTS TO CLARIFY THERE WAS NO TOUCHDOWN ON THE PLAY- Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham gets celebrated after intercepting a pass during the second half of an NFL football game against the Chicago Bears Monday Sept. 19 2016 in Chica

According to an arrest report, the gun was discovered inside his backpack by TSA as it went through the X-ray machine.

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker and former Florida State University star Nigel Bradham has been arrested in South Florida again, this time after allegedly bringing a loaded gun to a Miami International Airport security checkpoint, officials said Monday. The officials said there was no "criminal intent" but they couldn't leave him with a citation because he's still out on bond stemming from a July assault case.

Bradham was arrested in late July after allegedly striking a Miami hotel employee following a verbal altercation.

He now faces a charge of illegally carrying a concealed weapon. Bradham, who has a concealed weapons permit, reportedly told police he forget the firearm was in his bag. He was later released on $500 bond, according to court records.

Homes destroyed by California wildfire
The Loma Fire burning in the Santa Cruz Mountains is 50 percent contained at 4,345 acres, Cal Fire officials said Friday evening. It's not clear whether the destruction of seven more is new or just newly discovered.

The Eagles released the following statement to CSNPhilly.com: "We are aware of the report regarding Nigel Bradham".

Bradham signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles this off-season. We have been in communication with Nigel and the authorities regarding the situation.

Bradham is the Eagles' starting SAM linebacker and has played 96 percent of their defensive snaps through three games.

Neither of the Bradham arrests is the kind of thing that should seriously affect his career, especially this one, but given than he has been arrested twice in three months, the National Football League might have concerns.
