Everton earmark 12-goal Diego Falcinelli as potential Romelu Lukaku replacement

Everton have Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as supporting acts for Lukaku, with new forwards seemingly set to join the Toffees group before next season.

A report in The Sun claimed that the Belgium worldwide would prefer a summer move to United as he has reservations over playing for Antonio Conte at Chelsea due to his pressing style and the defensive responsibilities that come with it.

Everton have identified a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku who is speculated to be leaving the club this summer.

Lukaku is the Premier League's top scorer with 24 goals - and six assists - this season, and will surely be targeted by a number of top teams if he pushes for an exit from Goodison Park this summer.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson's former assistant, Rene Muelensteen, doesn't believe Lukaku fits the bill.

Iraq PM: No US combat troops to stay in Iraq after IS
Some US forces are carrying out combat operations with Iraqi forces on and beyond front lines in the fight against IS. Iraqi forces seem to be circling the old city before proceeding with their operation to clear it.

The report stated Lukaku is torn between a move to Chelsea or Old Trafford and is keen to play under United's former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

"That is where he falls short and it's something that's not as exposed at a club like Everton".

"If you play at the highest level your finesse on the ball, your decision-making needs to be absolutely spot on".

Lukaku has also been linked with a return to former club Chelsea, but is now under contract at Goodison Park until 2019.

United particularly have use for his ruthless finishing in front of goal having all too often failed to finish their chances this year, though Chelsea will also need to bring in a top striker if Diego Costa were to leave.
