North Korea's ICBMs have 'important shortfalls,' Pentagon says

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly denounced as “fake news” the accusations that members of his circle coordinated or colluded with Russia

"This aggressiveness was evident in Russia's efforts to influence the 2016 USA election and we assess that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized the 2016 USA election-focused data thefts and disclosures, based on the scope and sensitivity of the targets", Coats wrote in his statement.

But he said the USA doesn't know if Iran will eventually decide to try to build nuclear weapons.

For the Trump Administration, facing a question whether to increase the USA troop levels in Afghanistan, this can't be good news.

Iran is working on development of an intercontinental ballistic missile that could carry nuclear weapons.

Coats also says the deal has enhanced transparency of Iran's nuclear activities.

Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats told a Senate panel that homegrown terrorists pose "the most frequent and unpredictable terrorist threat to the United States homeland".

Coats says intelligence agencies believe that the performance of Afghan national security forces battling the insurgents will worsen due to weak military leadership, ongoing desertions and combat casualties.

Alex Ovechkin, Capitals come up short in Game 7 once again
If they can get more shots on goal, maybe they would have a chance to actually get some points on the board. Alex Ovechkin is one of the greatest players of all time and he has the individual accolades to prove it.

Testifying beside Coats, the head of the military's Defense Intelligence Agency, Vincent Stewart, said the state of the 15-year conflict will deteriorate from a stalemate in favor of the belligerents if left unchecked.

Presidential spokesperson Yoon Young-chan said that Moon told Xi, "The resolution of the North Korean nuclear issue must be comprehensive and sequential, with pressure and sanctions used in parallel with negotiations", and that "Sanctions against North Korea are also a means to bring the North to the negotiating table aimed at eliminating its nuclear weapons".

"Kabul's political dysfunction and ineffectiveness will nearly certainly be the greatest vulnerability to stability in 2017", he wrote.

"It's clear that we have assessed this as a very significant, potentially existential threat to the United States that has to be addressed", said Coats at a U.S. Senate hearing on world threats. The administration has said, however, that it wants China to use its leverage over North Korea to reach a diplomatic solution to the crisis. -Chinese agreement addressing cybertheft.

China continues construction on islands and other geographic features in the South China Sea, according to the statement, and will have its first long-range, sea-based nuclear capability when it finishes developing its JL-2 submarine-launched ballistic missile.

While CIA Director Mike Pompeo hailed China for making efforts to reign North Korea's aggression in unprecedented ways, Mr Coats was full of criticism.
