Stabbings reported as police respond to three London incidents

The Metropolitan Police said they were called just after 10 p.m. (2100GMT) to reports of a vehicle hitting pedestrians on the bridge, which crosses the River Thames in central London. The BBC reports police say there is more than one fatality following the three separate incidents.

Both incidents were confirmed as terrorism.

It is too early to say whether the incidents in London are militant attacks, European security officials told Reuters."It's too soon to say" if London Bridge incident is an attack by militants, one official said.

"London Bridge would have been very busy with pedestrians at this time of night".

The BBC reports police are searching for three potentially armed suspects.

"A white van driver came speeding - probably about 50m/ph - veered off the road into the crowds of people who were walking along the pavement", she told BBC News.

One witness reported having seen a van crashed into a lamppost after the bridge by the Barrowboy and Banker pub. The incident comes as the United Kingdom is reeling from the recent attack on Manchester Arena at the end of an Ariana Granda concert.

A charity concert for victims of the Manchester attack, featuring Grande and other stars, is due to be held in the northwest English city on Sunday. The patrons sheltered in the basement and police then arrived at the scene, the witness said.
