Morata emerges as 'number one summer target' for Man Utd

Real Madrid star intent on joining Chelsea despite Man United transfer links

Following the petering out of the Antoine Griezmann saga, it looks as though the club have turned their attention to Alvaro Morata, with Sky Italy reporting this evening that Real Madrid have rejected an initial approach of £52.4M for the Spanish front-man.

Alvaro Morata denies suggestions that he has agreed to join AC Milan this summer and declares himself "happy" at Real Madrid.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte failed with a bid to sign the Spanish worldwide last summer as Real opted to keep hold, but he is hoping for more luck this time around.

Madrid may decide to accept a €60m deal given that they would still be doubling their money on a player who came through their youth system and has always behaved impeccably with the Spanish side, but will ask Milan to up their offer for the 24-year-old.

Morata made just 19 starts last season after being restricted to the role of back-up to Karim Benzema, but nevertheless racked up 20 goals and six assists in 1,872 minutes of play.

The Spain global wants more playing time than he is now receiving at the Bernabeu, but the club won't let him leave cheap.

Putin urges US business to help normalize Russia-US ties
Although Putin has claimed that climate change is not man-made, Russian Federation is a party to the Paris accord. Kislyak's meetings with members of Trump's team have been a focus of the congressional investigation.

If United fail to buy the former Juventus player, they will try to sign Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

Moreover, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was United's top scorer last season, is unlikely to be handed a new deal after he was sidelined with a long-term knee injury.

Real are believed to want £50 million (R830 million) for the Spain forward, which is half what Everton expect to receive for Lukaku.

The story also claims that, contrary to what has been reported in recent days, Manchester United's pursuit of Morata is completely separate to suggestions that the Red Devils could sell goalkeeper David De Gea to Real Madrid.

Both clubs are also believed to be interested in Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who would cost significantly more than the newly crowned Champions League victor.

"To return to Madrid and win the Champions League is incredible".
