USA believes North Korea has carried out another missile test

North Korea has tested a new rocket engine as part of its efforts to build a missile capable of reaching the American mainland, USA officials said.

If confirmed, the North's move marked the first time since March that it carried out a ground test of a new high-thrust rocket engine.

This technology can later use to create an Intercontinental missile capable of reaching the US West coast. "But we will not comment on intelligence", Navy commander Gary Ross said in a emailed statement, declining to confirm the rocket engine test. "The general consensus among experts here is that if left unchecked, the North would be able to have ICBMs in the near future", Yoo said.

The presidential Blue House said the South's test was meant as a warning against the North's provocative acts over the past months.

Two U.S. officials who spoke to Fox on the condition of anonymity said the engine test took place in Yunsong, North Korea, where other tests had taken place.

Moon told Reuters in an exclusive interview on Thursday that strong new sanctions would be needed if the North conducted a new nuclear test or an intercontinental ballistic missile test and that he planned to call on Chinese President Xi Jinping to play a greater role in reining in Pyongyang's arms program.

Power says Hyundai is the automaker with the most segment awards in this year's survey, although all are for Kia-brand models. This marks the first time in the survey's 30-year history that two Korean brands have topped the list, a spokesman for J.D.

US officials have warned that North Korea is on the path to successfully developing an ICMB capable of hitting the United States unless something changes.

"China is willing to maintain communication and coordination with relevant parties including the United States to ease tensions on the peninsula", State Councillor Yang Jiechi said, according to the ministry.

North Korea has conducted five nuclear tests since 2006, including two previous year, the report said.

A midrange ballistic missile was launched from a test site in Hawaii, but an interceptor missile launched from USS John Paul Jones missed the target, the agency said.

In April, North Korea unveiled what could be a new ICBM at a giant military parade in a show of strength.
