Trump, Scarborough clash over the National Enquirer

Trump's Mika Brzezinski tweets show that he hates women — especially members of the press

"The fake media tried to stop us from going to the White House, but I'm president and they're not", he said, reprising a line of attack all too familiar by now.

Scarborough responded quickly to Trump's tweet with one of his own, writing, "Yet another lie".

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the president was just responding to attacks.

Ms Brzezinski in recent weeks has wondered whether Mr Trump was mentally ill and said the country under his presidency "does feel like a developing dictatorship".

Trump took to Twitter to claim that Scarborough actually approached him about killing the story. The source said Kushner answered: "Well, then maybe you should apologize". However, it seems that Trump has found a new target for his ire in the form of MSNBC, the broadcaster of Morning Joe.

But the source told Fox News there was no quid pro quo, that Kushner was only saying if Scarborough wanted to get back on speaking terms with Trump, an apology may be in order.

The pair alleged they were told the story would have been cancelled if they called Mr Trump and "begged". They say they refused.

Girl's actions caused her to fall from NY park ride
When Park personnel stopped the ride, one man climbed a nearby tree so he could move the branches out of the girl's path. He said he wouldn't be surprised if they didn't add safety belts or other safety restrictions on the ride in future.

Trump has also slammed CNN for low ratings, despite the fact that the network has posted a total day rating spike of 25% in Q2 2017, compared to the same quarter in 2016.

In a Twitter post on Friday, Mr Trump gave a different account, saying Mr Scarborough "called me to stop a National Enquirer article". "Also, those records show I haven't spoken with you in many months".

American Media said in a statement "we have no knowledge of any discussions between the White House and Joe and Mika about our story, and absolutely no involvement in those discussions".

Yet, Trump said, they're not bad people. He added: "Why do you keep lying about things that are so easily disproven?"

This morning #The President tweeted about them again and, while he did state that they are "not bad people", he went on to call Joe Scarborough "crazy" and described Mika Brzezinski as being "dumb as a rock".

Trump's tweets had garnered bipartisan criticism earlier in the week after he ripped into Brzezinski for supposedly "bleeding from a face-lift" when she visited his Florida estate over the New Year.
