Leicester agree a deal to sign Sevilla star

A fee of around £12.5m has been settled upon for Iborra, Sky sources understand, but he has yet to agree personal terms with Leicester.

"Sevilla FC and Lecester City FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Vicente Iborra to the British side, with the player yet to travel to Leicester to pass his medical and sign his new contract", said Sevilla in a statement. The Spanish side that admitted that a deal was agreed between the two clubs and that now 29-year-old Iborra will make the move to the Midlands club, where he will see his wages doubled in size.

In a statement, Sevilla confirmed the deal and invited Iborra, who began his career at Levante, to hold a farewell ceremony with the club's supporters.

West Ham United were also understood to be interested in the three-time Europa League victor.

Utah Jazz have a point guard, acquire Ricky Rubio via trade
Two NBA drafts ago, it seemed the now-26-year-old Spaniard's fate was sealed when the Wolves selected point guard Kris Dunn . Although Rubio is a solid guard, he's limited offensively, and he only contributed to Minnesota's spacing problems.

'Once the transfer is concluded, he will return to Seville to publicly bid farewell to the fans'. Having replaced the sacked Claudio Ranieri in February, Shakespeare will be hoping he can have Leicester challenging at the top end of the table this season.

A defensive-midfielder, Iborra is extremely effective at breaking up play and he made three defensive actions per game in La Liga last season, including 52 clearances and 36 interceptions.

If the transfer is completed as expected, Iborra will arrive at the King Power Stadium with plenty of experience and pedigree.

The Spanish club have re-signed Ever Banega from Inter Milan and are keen on Tigres midfielder Guido Pizarro and are therefore willing to let their skipper depart.
