New hope for Baby Charlie Gard's parents

Court To Rehear Charlie Gard's Case

Two members of the House Republicans have proposed a legislation that would give permanent US status to the ailing British child, Charlie Gard, and his parents, Chris and Connie Gard. He could be my child, or your child, or any one of us.

Mr. Trump also waded into the debate last week, tweeting that the U.S.

They nevertheless called for a new hearing before the British High Court of Justice, deeming it necessary to take into account the "new elements for experimental treatment" proposed by "two global hospitals". "He literally has nothing to lose but potentially a healthier, happier life to gain", Charlie's mother, Connie Yates, wrote on a GoFundMe page that has raised more than $1.7 million.

Pope Francis on Sunday expressed his support for the baby's parents and said he hoped doctors would allow them to "care for their child until the end".

"The goal of government is to protect innocent human life".

"Two worldwide hospitals and their researchers have communicated to us as late as the last 24 hours that they have fresh evidence about their proposed experimental treatment", Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children said in a statement.

"Doctors and the judiciary have said that, not only is there no hope, but rather than release Charlie to the care of his parents, they have also omnisciently chose to literally hold him hostage - insisting not only that Charlie must die but that he also must be in their "care" when he does", Franks wrote.

Aru wins Tour stage, Froome takes yellow
It will be interesting to see how the overall classification reads by Sunday night after two massive back-to-back stages. But with the top 10 separated by a second over one minute, and all the contenders in there, the race is now truly on.

Little Charlie Gard's last hope is to undergo experimental treatment in the USA, a move that has been blocked by European and British courts.

Public protests have taken place in London to stop authorities from taking Charlie off life support. Charlie's parents appealed the ruling in May, but the case was dismissed.

The parents have found a doctor in the United States that will perform the experimental treatment. However, the courts have denied them their right to take Charlie to a new hospital.

The New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan has reportedly said it would "admit and evaluate" Charlie for treatment, as long as the baby can be transported safely to the facility, Fox News reported. "I will be the first to welcome that outcome", Francis told Gard's lawyers.

The tragic case has left thousands of well-wishers world wide debating what should be done for Charlie. The British Courts ruled that the hospital could remove the mechanical ventilation, providing palliative care only, which would essentially mean he would die.

FAMILES came together to demonstrate their support for the family of Charlie Gard, who is desperately ill.
