Delta fires back at Ann Coulter after she rages about seat reassignment

Delta's response to political analyst Ann Coulter's public attack on airline's employees, customers following seat mix-up

When Ann Coulter's specially-selected, pre-booked seat was changed on her Delta flight from New York City to Florida Saturday, she let loose on the airline and its employees, and even tweeted a picture of the woman to whom her seat was given.

Coulter went ballistic on social media after she was moved from the aisle seat on a flight from NY to Palm Beach, Florida, to a window seat in the same exit row. More importantly, we are disappointed that the customer has chosen to publicly attack our employees and other customers by posting derogatory and slanderous comments and photos in social media.

Coulter responded to her seat reassignment with a two-day tweetstorm that included about two dozen tweets and retweets about the situation, including insults against the woman who had been given her seat so she could sit with her family.

Coulter, being the avid tweeter that she is, spotted Delta's response and fired a few more of her own.

The statement by Delta went on to say that Coulter's behavior had been unacceptable and unnecessary.

In a separate statement, Delta added, "Each of our employees is charged with treating each other as well as our customers with dignity and respect".

A native of Bakersfield, Calif., Cotton-Moya led the team with three takeaways and tied for the team lead with two interceptions. And on the defensive side, I sided with Oklahoma linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo over Kansas defensive end Dorance Armstrong .

Delta claimed that pre-boarding confusion was "inadvertently" to blame for Coulter's seating shift while the airline was trying to meet the needs of multiple passengers requesting extra leg room.

Did Coulter overreact? Should a company still be held accountable to offer consumers what they paid for? Later, Coulter tweeted a picture of the woman who was given her seat. The 55-year-old called it the "worst airline in America" after the flight attendant told her to give up her paid seat for another passenger. They look exactly as happy about being ambushed by a camera-wielding Ann Coulter as you might expect.

Coulter continued her tirade on social media into late Sunday night with tweets.

Delta said that all passengers complied and crew members reported no problems.

Delta also said its customer care and social media teams tried reaching the political analyst several times to apologize, but did not hear back from her until Sunday evening.
