Why Trump discouraging officers from being 'too nice' matters in Baltimore

Russian President Vladimir Putin

In a rebuke to President Donald Trump, multiple police departments have condemned a Friday speech he made endorsing the rough treatment of suspected criminals and gang members.

President Trump said. "Like, don't hit their head, and they just killed somebody - don't hit their head". Like when you guys put somebody in the vehicle and you're protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over, like, don't hit their head and they've just killed somebody, don't hit their head.

Trump's statement before a crowd of law enforcement officials in Long Island pointed to no specific suspect or alleged crime. "Totally protect the criminal, not the officers".

"We will find you, we will arrest you, we will jail you and we will deport you", Trump said while speaking directly to gang members. "And we're not gonna do it, because of you", he told the law enforcement in the audience.

"Look", Commissioner Sini said, "we have specific grant" applications to the federal government pending that could "address the gang issue". They also gave President Trump a rousing round of applause after he pledged to "Make America great again", and concluded with "God bless the United States of America".

Wasserman Schultz IT Staffer Arrested at Dulles Airport Trying to Flee Country
Awan is a longtime Democratic House staffer who was worked for more than 24 Democrats, including Wasserman Schultz, since 2004. Tuesday's ChargesAwan pled not guilty on Tuesday to one count of bank fraud during his arraignment in the U.S.

"Few communities have suffered worse at the hands of these MS-13 thugs than the people on Long Island", said Trump, who grew up in Queens. The leftist media has seized on one aspect of what many consider to be one of the president's best speeches; with the specific intent of distracting from the very urgent and very critical content delivered. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions traveled to El Salvador on Thursday to talk about gang violence. And we're sending them the hell back home where they came from. They were skeptical about the president's motives.

However, he singled out one Republican official - the only one of the many he recognized from the dais who was not actually in the room.

Trump's speech was criticized by Professor Karen Pita Loor of Boston University School of Law who told LawNewz.com: "I'm not sure that's what his supporters meant by a law-and-order president". This time, the president encouraged police brutality during a time in the country where many have accused the boys (and girls) in blue of using excessive force.

The chilling remarks and appreciative response from the officers prompted the Suffolk County Police Department to issue an apology. "We can all respect our law enforcement officers without sanctioning unjust and illegal behavior".
