Sean Spicer - sadly - says 'no' to 'Dancing With the Stars'

Sean Spicer

If you had your heart set on seeing Sean Spicer stumble his way through a rumba on live television, sorry about your luck.

TMZ reports that the former White House press secretary has turned down the chance to vie for the Mirrorball trophy on the next season of the dancing competition.

Spicer turned down the Dancing With the Stars offer because of the "overwhelming number of commitments in the Fall" he expects to have, according to TMZ. Spicer was spotted near and at various television network offices in NY in July.

While he will not be lacing up his dancing shoes any time soon, the former Republican National Committee staffer can be expected to return in front of a camera soon.

Twitter reacted with disappointment to the news that Spicer would not be appearing on Dancing With The Stars after all.

Maxine Waters hits Trump over comments to police
I think he is doing our nation a disservice by encouraging police departments to engage in unlawful, unconstitutional behaviour. Trump's visit to his home state of NY came as Sessions was in El Salvador to increase global cooperation against the gang.

Spicer may be considering a switch to the dynamic field of television where he can share his insider knowledge of the White House.

Instead, Spicer has been taking meetings with all the major TV and news networks and shopping for a possible book deal.

Barnett was not able to be reached by Page Six and Spicer did not comment, according to the publication.

Now, just two weeks after Spicer's resignation, the former White House press secretary has a new job at a prominent Washington, D.C., law firm.

SNL's last season was its most-watched season in 23 years, and some of the most appreciated episodes were those where McCarthy mimicked Spicer and the way he would go into bursts of anger toward reporters.
