Scaramucci: Bannon's 'toleration' of white nationalism is 'inexcusable'

How press conferences could help Trump

Speaking with ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on This Week, Scaramucci criticized the influence of the website Breitbart and Steve Bannon, who was the executive chairman of Breitbart before joining the Trump campaign and later the administration, saying that there's "this sort of "Bannon-bart" influence" in the White House that he thinks "is a snag on the president".

Earlier in the interview, host Chuck Todd asked what was "going on" between him and Bannon.

"The whole thing is nonsensical".

"The fact that [Steve Bannon] is sitting there inside the White House probably makes people think that [Breitbart] has an influence, and I think that's reason enough to probably make some changes".

"I wouldn't have recommended that statement, I think he needed to be much harsher as it related to the white supremacists and the nature of that", Scaramucci said on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday. If he does that, he'll have a successful legislative agenda that he can execute.

Sales of USA passenger cars decline in July
Deliveries for Ford's F-Series rose 5.8 percent, while Fiat Chrysler's Ram brand sales were little changed from a year earlier. Carmakers have used lower-margin sales to rental fleets as a way to avoid shutdowns in plants.

"I've never sat down with Steve Bannon and said, 'Hey are you a white nationalist or a white supremacist?' But I think the toleration of it by Steve Bannon is inexcusable". And if he doesn't do that, you're going to see this inertia and you're going to see this resistance from more of the establishment senators that he needs to curry favor with.

"Can you and Steve Bannon still work together", Todd asked.

Staff inside the White House are plotting to get rid of President Donald Trump, according to former communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

Mr Scaramucci was asked to leave when Mr Trump named General John Kelly his new chief of staff and tasked him with restoring calm. The chilling came as Bannon fought with Jared Kushner, a top Trump aide and the President's son-in-law.

"He has to move away from that sort of "Bannon-bart" nonsense", Scaramucci said, apparently combining Bannon's name with Breitbart, the website that Bannon ran before joining Trump's campaign a year ago. The president has a very good idea of the people that are undermining his agenda that are serving their own interests. "I want to be totally accountable for what I did, and obviously I paid the consequences of having that sort of conversation with him".
