The Daily Stormer May Lose Its Domain

Hackers Hijack Neo Nazi Website The Daily

The site then posted an offensive story about Heather Heyer, the woman killed in the auto attack on demonstrators protesting against the rally.

That's exactly what happened, Irving said, when a Daily Stormer post verbally attacked Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old killed on Saturday when a auto plowed into her group of counterprotesters who were demonstrating against the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville. If no action is taken after 24 hours, we will cancel the service.

Google has joined web hosting company GoDaddy in revoking the domain registration of the neo-Nazi website after it posted an article mocking an anti-hate crusader killed in Charlottesville.

The Daily Stormer published a post denigrating Heather Heyer, the civil rights activist who was killed on Saturday when a far-right terrorist from OH used his auto as a weapon, plowing into a crowd of counter-protestors.

The Daily Stormer's domain is now reportedly being hosted by Google, according to WHOIS results, which show the domain transferred on Monday.

Neo-nazi news site the Daily Stormerhas been given 24 hours to move its domain to a new host after its current provider, GoDaddy, said it would cut off support.

"We are canceling Daily Stormer's registration with Google Domains for violating our terms of service", a Google spokesperson told Mic in an emailed statement. He also maintained that the Daily Stormer has "not violated any aspect" of GoDaddy's terms of service.

At time of writing The Daily Stormer can not be accessed.

While Godaddy Inc's decision to remove The Daily Stormer from its services is receiving positive reception from some, there are still others that are unhappy about it.

The claim that Anonymous took over the site has been refuted by YouAnonNews, one of the most influential Anonymous-affiliated Twitter accounts.

However, the @AnonyInfo twitter account, which claims to be linked to Anonymous, said that it could not confirm that the Daily Stormer site was hacked.
