African American history museum to host a Colin Kaepernick exhibit

Chris Long turns his words into action when he put his arm around Eagles teammate Malcolm Jenkins

His backers say NFL team owners have blackballed Kaepernick because he staged a one-man protest last season on behalf of African-Americans and other minorities - by kneeling instead of standing for the national anthem before each week's game. The crowd of mostly Black law enforcement acknowledged that there is a huge problem with policing in the United States.

"According to the Associated Press, about 75 police officers rallied together in Brooklyn wearing matching black T-shirts that read, "#imwithkap", on the front.

"I think that elephant just left the room because a little mouse ran in here", Lynch said facetiously, responding to a question from a reporter who referred to the protests as "the elephant in the room".

Frank Serpico, famously played by Al Pacino in the 1973 film, Serpico, also turned out in support.

"I am here to support anyone who has the courage to stand up against injustice and oppression anywhere in this country and the world", said the 81-year-old former detective.

Muguruza downs No. 1 Pliskova to reach Cincinnati final
The seventh-seeded Dimitrov got his first career win in six matches against Del Potro. The second set was tied 4-4 when the match was halted for an hour.

"The way he's being railroaded for speaking the obvious truth, this is not what America was founded on", NYPD Sergeant Edwin Raymond said at the rally. "We chose to gather here today because of the way he's being railroaded for speaking the obvious truth".

Kaepernick retweeted a number of photos taken at the rally.

"We support Kap! We support Kap!" the officers chanted, their fists raised in the air.

Contrary to what many believe, Kaepernick was not fired from his former team, which he led to the super bowl in 2013. After opting out of the final year of his contract with the 49ers, the QB remains unsigned. According to the Sacramento Bee, the Atlanta NAACP is among groups calling for a formal boycott against the National Football League due to its treatment of Kaepernick. "Unfortunately, we're going to have these issues", Raymond said. "The clubs are making those individual evaluations".

A number of NFL players have vocalized their confusion that Kaepernick has been ignored by the league since leaving the Niners.
