"Trump, who has said he would be willing to mediate the worst dispute in decades among the USA -allied Arab states and Qatar, said he had a "very strong feeling" the dispute would be solved "pretty quickly".

"We have a problem with our neighbors and your interference will help a lot".

For more than 100 days Qatar has been subject to a Saudi-led boycott that shuttered Qatar's only land border, denied air space to its national airline and suspended maritime links.

He said that Qatar News Agency QNA was hacked for political purposes, which were followed by political dictations that have an impact on sovereignty. "Isn't this one of the definitions of terrorism?" "[We want] an unconditional dialogue based on mutual respect for sovereignty".

Trump and Sheikh Tamim later held a meeting in which the emir was careful to emphasize the strong Qatar-U.S. relationship after Trump appeared to be more sympathetic to the Saudi position at the start of the crisis.

According to a Bloomberg report, Saudi Arabia and the UAE planned a regime change in Qatar by taking a military action at the early stages of the dispute.

With no end in sight for the crisis, a furious war of words erupted between diplomats from Qatar and its boycotters at an Arab League meeting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, last week.

Muraikhi's comments sparked angry reactions from the representatives of the Saudi-led bloc.
