Taco Bell Plans To Ditch Drive-Thru, Serve Alcohol

WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, reported Tuesday that Taco Bell will open 300 new catina-style restaurants that won't include drive-thru windows.

The "urban in-line" stores will be created to feature open kitchens, digital menu boards and local artwork.

These new locations - which will be located mostly in Urban areas - will serve beer, wine, sangria, and Twisted Freezes (slushies with tequila, rum, or vodka), the report said.

Taco Bell's chief operating officer credits millennials' moving into downtown areas helping to revitalize urban areas.

Federal Bureau of Investigation allegedly wiretapped Paul Manafort before, after election
The monitoring stretched into 2017 following the renewal of the FISA warrant after the first one was discontinued a year ago . Lindsey Graham said that if true, Trump's wiretapping claims would be the "biggest political scandal since Watergate".

This May 12, 2011 stock image shows a Taco Bell drive-thru sign. More specifically, the chain wants to make its presence known in urban areas. But these new restaurants won't be your typical drive-thru - in fact, they won't even have drive-thrus. Currently, there are already roughly 6,000 Taco Bell restaurants nationwide, but expanding the urban footprint, in particular, makes sense.

It is unclear if New Jersey - which has around 130 Taco Bell locations - will get one of these new spots.

Food & Wine reported Taco Bell plans to "zero in on" big cities like Detroit, Boston and NY. The current menu features "naked" and "dressed" egg tacos, skillet bowls and taco shells made with Doritos.
