It is understood that the star's sixth album "Reputation" is the first album to sell a million copies in a tracking week in almost two years, since Adele's 25 sold 1.16 million copies in the frame ending December 25, 2015 (the album's fifth week on sale).

The release of a new Taylor Swift album means Target shoppers will soon see the pop star strutting through the aisles.

Reputation was released on Friday, November 10, through Big Machine Records.

Reputation is now Swift's fourth album to log a million-selling week.

"Reputation", her first studio album in three years, marked another transformation for Swift with songs marked by vengeance that take aim at the media and some of her haters.

Reputation is now 2017's biggest-selling album in the US passing Ed Sheeran's ÷, which has sold 919,000 since its release in March.

This mega-success comes as a bit of a shock after Swift's first singles from Reputation were panned by critics.

Swift and her backup singers Claire, Eliotte, Mel, and Kamilah took their time browsing the aisles.

The "Call It What You Want" crooner took to her Instagram Story to document the appearance, and shared clips of herself signing albums, FaceTiming fans and thanking Target employees.
