Slight rise in Idaho unemployment for October

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics also released preliminary estimates on Thursday showing the state gained 4,800 jobs in October.

Ohio's unemployment rate is a full percentage point higher than the US unemployment rate, which was 4.1% in October, down from 4.2% in September and 4.8% in October 2016.

That's the lowest Lincoln rate since 2000, according to the Labor Department. The national rate was 4.1 percent in October. The leisure and hospitality sector has grown by almost 2,500 with other services adding slightly more than 2,000 jobs this year.

The number of people employed statewide was 983,738, up almost 5,500 from a year ago, while the number of jobs hit 1,035,730, more than 10,000 more than a year ago.
