Students shot at USA high school

Two Students Reportedly Wounded in Shooting Outside Pierce County High School

Two students were shot outside a Washington state high school on Tuesday and Pierce County sheriff's deputies said they're looking for suspects.

Troyer also added the police suspected the shooting to be gang-related, which forced not only the high school but nearby Frontier Middle School, Graham Elementary and Nelson Elementary School also to go on lockdown.

The Pierce County sheriff's office said one student was found in the parking lot by the football field and another was found in a locker room.

It's unclear what the students' conditions are, but they've been taken to Tacoma General Hospital.

The shooters were suspected of fleeing the area in a green vehicle. All three schools were locked down while deputies searched the buildings and grounds.

Multiple officers responded from multiple agencies, Troyer said, and no one other than the two students were hurt. That's according to officials with the Pierce County Sheriff's office. Officials say the two wounded male students ran back onto the Graham-Kapowsin campus after being shot.

Senate Republicans now confident they will pass tax reform bill
Senate leaders both declared the report junk and claimed it vindicates their claim that the tax bill will pay for itself. Susan Collins , R-Maine, who asked GOP leaders for multiple changes to the bill, has not yet committed to supporting it.

Pierce County Sheriff posted on their Facebook page that 911 callers reported a fight near the school grounds on Eustis Hunt Road East right before shots were heard.

"I knew he wasn't one of the kids that was shot, and I pray for them and their parents".

Troyer said the shooting appears to be the result of an altercation between people who may have known each other.

The school district also tweeted that their thoughts and prayers are with everyone who were involved in the shooting and added they were proud of how their students and staff reacted to the incident.

After deeming the campus secure, the sheriff's department and Bethel School District allowed students to be released.

Students were beginning to be released from school about 4:30 p.m., starting with Frontier Middle School, according to the Bethel School District.
