Light snow today, brutally cold tomorrow!

Holiday weekend looks cold & potentially snowy

"Snow will fall mainly between 7am-3pm Saturday with a coating to 1" expected.

Rather cloudy with some snow and flurries tapering off and ending in the afternoon; coating to an inch or two.

Friday isn't much better and it also looks cloudier.

Wind chills: Wind chills are expected to drop into the teens and possibly near 0 over a majority of the area Sunday and into Monday. This will make it feel like it's only in the teens at Midnight. However, all and all we're splitting hairs since it felt like it was in the upper single digits to middle teens throughout the day. So, get ready for some very cold weather after today as that frigid air mass settles into our area. Additionally, periods of light snow will continue with from a half inch to an inch of new snow possible by Saturday morning.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the signs of both frostbite and hypothermia, and be sure to take plenty of breaks indoors in order to keep internal temperatures as well as extremities like fingers, toes, ears and noses from freezing over. That means there will be some slick spots and snow on area roadways, so please use extra caution while traveling.
