Instagram is adding a 'recommended' post on to your feed

New Instagram test adds posts your friends like into your feed

According to reports, the feature was spotted while still in development and it seems that the social media giant has achieved refining the algorithm needed to pull off the recommended feature.

Get ready, because Instagram is changing again. Now, Instagram users will start to see recommended posts alongside posts from friends and family.

Unfortunately for those that desire to remove this option entirely this is not going to be possible but instead when users come across one of these "recommended" posts they can locate the three dots and choose the "hide" option. The feature is clearly labeled as what function it serves.

Instagram will begin to show users "recommended" posts from accounts that they don't follow in a bid to bolster engagement.

This isn't the first time that Instagram has rolled out a recommended feature, but previously users had to go to the Explore section of the app to find recommended posts and videos.

Christmas celebrated with hopes of love, peace and harmony
Sabyasachi Satpathy , of Big Boss reality show fame, is celebrating Christmas in Mumbai with celebs like Udita Goswami . Hope for humanity, hope for peace, hope that the better angels of our nature will prevail over our darker instincts.

Instagram has been rolling out new features over the past months, with one of them being the ability to follow hashtags in the same way that users would when viewing accounts. However, fans are expecting to have more information in the coming months.

It follows the new feature of following hashtags which Instagram recently introduced. However, a spokesperson did confirm that the recommended posts will only appear once users have gone through their own feed.

The new capability doesn't take effect until after you've viewed all of the organic posts in your feed. The social media platform did not give any clear indications on when exactly will the new update be fully available to all its users.

There's no doubt that there will be a number of users who will not like the "recommended posts" feature.
