Donald Trump accuses Pakistan of lying, halts all aids

US follows Donald Trump's Twitter talk with action, blocks USD 255 million in military aid to Pakistan

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani responded to Trump's tweets on Sunday, saying he "has forgotten that he had called Iranian people "terrorists" a few months ago". In a tweet on Monday, Trump said the U.S. had foolishly given Pakistan more that $33 billion in aid since 2012 and received nothing but lies and deceit.

"They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!" he added.

While some have shared Trump's tweets, many in Iran distrust him as he's refused to re-certify the nuclear deal and because his travel bans have blocked Iranians from getting USA visas. Will let the world know the truth.

United States officials have long expressed frustration with Pakistan, accusing the government of being slow to stamp out terrorist networks.

Islamabad routinely denies such charges. We have told the Trump administration that we will not do "no more" for it. "We make massive payments every year to Pakistan", he said.

"We have made it clear to Pakistan that while we desire continued partnership, we must see decisive action against terrorist groups operating on their territory", Trump had said. "They have to help".

The United States has suspended its Dollars 255 million military aid to Pakistan for now, the White House has confirmed, saying the fate of such assistance will depend on Islamabad's response to terrorism on its soil.

A Pentagon report to the US Congress of December 17 had warned that Washington would take unilateral steps in areas of divergence with Pakistan while expanding cooperation between the two countries where their interests converged.

"The president has made clear the United States expects Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorists and militants on its soil, and that Pakistan's actions in support of the South Asia Strategy will ultimately determine the trajectory of our relationship, including future security assistance", he said.

The report stated that U.S. officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the sensitive discussions, did not detail what conditions Pakistan would have to meet to receive the aid.
