Moyes responds to shock Chelsea link to West Ham attacker

Chelsea transfer news: Andy Carroll target for Blues with Antonio Conte wanting West Ham target man as Alvaro Morata back-up

West Ham striker, Andy Carroll is speculated to be the next name on Antonio Conte's transfer window list.

And without an adequate back-up he has gone without a striker recently when Morata has been absent.

Antonio Conte has reportedly had a target man in his sights for some time, and, after failing to land Fernando Llorente over the summer, the Italian is now purportedly considering the nine-times-capped England worldwide. However, he left Swansea City and made a switch to Tottenham Hotspur after rejecting the Premier League winners.

The 48-year-old is now considering an option in bringing Carroll to Stamford Bridge in the mid-season transfer market.

Conte now has the option of Michy Batshuayi as the second choice striker in the squad. He scored a brace in West Ham's 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion on 2 January.

"It's been very frustrating".

"I've been wanting to get there and start". I gave my opinion to the club but the club then decides the players we can buy or sell.

Following the draw, Moyes was queried about reports Chelsea were considering a move for striker Carrll, but the former Manchester United bos qas quick to shoot down such talk, saying only: "I have no idea about that".

The defending English champions traveled across London to face Arsenal, with Antonio Conte drafting in Eden Hazard, who played in behind summer signing Alvaro Morata.
