Britain's Princess Charlotte starts nursery school

The princess will be a full-time pupil at Willcocks Nursery School which charges fees of just over £3,000 a term for pupils attending its Monday to Friday morning school

The little princess, who is still four months shy of her third birthday, will attend full-time at Willcocks Nursery School, just a few hundred metres down the road from Kensington Palace, where the young royals live.

Today marked the Princess's first day at the school - and the Palace marked the occasion by sharing photos of her dressed and ready to learn.

Charlotte's older brother Prince George went to preschool at Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk and is now in kindergarten in London.

The tweet was followed by confirmation that the pictures had been taken by Kate Middleton as she sent her daughter off to school for the first time.

The school, which charges £14,550 ($19,740) per year, was classed as "outstanding" at the last official inspection in 2012. It encourages "high standards, excellence and good manners" and has an all-female teaching staff.

Pakistan decries 'arbitrary deadlines, unilateral pronouncements' as USA suspends military aid
Frustration has been building on Capitol Hill for years, reflected in a steady decline of USA aid to Pakistan. He said that doubting intent of Pakistan would affect joint efforts of peace and stability in the region.

Charlotte won't wear a uniform and will need to bring a lunch box from home at Willcocks, where her schedule will be jam-packed.

Three afternoons a week from 2 to 4pm, there's sports - the playground has wheelie toys and sand features - cooking, painting and music. Visitors include emergency services workers, and Prince William will be able to swap stories with other dads at "fathers' breakfasts".

Pictures taken by her pregnant mother showed the smiling two-year-old outside her home before she set off to begin at the private Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington.

"We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery".
