Chris Long Joins In On The Bashing Of Cris Collinsworth

NBC Sports PR

It might not be any player or coach. If paid any attention to the way Collinsworth called the game, he sort of made it seem like he had money riding on the Pats.

Early in the game, when the screen went black, it returned to National Football League commentators Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth making no mention of the mishap, leaving many fans to wonder if it was a glitch happening with their very own televisions.

Just imagine how upset the Eagles and their fans would have been if the game did not end in a 41-33 win, with Philadelphia becoming Super Bowl champs for the first time. Being a Philadelphia Eagles fan and having to listen to him constantly talk about the Patriots and hardly ever the Eagles during the game made it nearly unbearable. Come on, Cris. Even Chris Long didn't appreciate that. The Eagles' defensive lineman re-watched the game on Monday and didn't take kindly to some of Collinsworth's statements.

"Ertz takes 17 steps and Collinsworth says he thinks they have to overturn it", Long wrote.

He also thought it's my job to run with Tom Brady w QB wheel route on a reverse pass. Lmao.

Minutes later, Long reminded his Twitter followers of the second-quarter play when wide-open Patriots quarterback Tom Brady dropped a reverse pass from wide receiver Danny Amendola.

Hating on the analyst is nothing new.

But in this case, it's probably valid.

The petition labels Collinsworth as "biased and horrible" insinuating that Collinsworth's work on Sunday favored the Patriots. The criticism is deserved.
