'Singing Jesus Loves Me': Waffle House Victim Died Singing Gospel Songs

A young woman who was shot and killed during an attack at a Tennessee Waffle House died singing a gospel song, the restaurant's CEO said on Saturday.

Last week, Shaw helped bring a deadly shooting at a Nashville Waffle House to an end when he was able to wrestle the gun away from the shooter.

Groves, a senior at Belmont University, had been out on the town with her Delta Sigma Theta sorority sisters before going to the Waffle House.

The alleged shooter, 29-year-old Travis Reinking, has been charged with four counts of criminal homicide, four counts of attempted homicide and one count of having a firearm while committing a risky felony.

Groves was a choir member at Grace Tabernacle Christian Center and loved to sing.

Ehmer also offered words of support and comfort to friends and family at the funeral.

"And (they) spoke of your daughter and her friend, and said they were singing gospel songs".

Andujar homers, doubles as Yankees thrash Twins
The Yankees are hoping pitcher Masahiro Tanaka (2-2, 6.45 ERA) can rebound from a rough start to the season, especially at home. And immediately, Dozier smoked an RBI single to extend the hit streak to 17 games (and 24 games dating back to last year).

"My heart is like all in my chest right now", DiAngelo Groves, said, per The Tennessean.

Groves was very determined and was a perfectionist, her cousin, Juanesha Rodriguez, said. "I'm not a singer".

Previously, Waffle House offered to pay for the funerals of all four of the victims killed.

Groves and her friend were singing gospel songs, the survivor told Ehmer.

"I will cherish every smile, every laugh, every hug, every display of love", Hampton said, according to the newspaper.

Authorities said Shaw's bravery saved numerous lives, but he has refused to call himself a hero, saying only that he stood up to the gunman to save his own life.
