NBC Releases Findings of Matt Lauer Investigation

I did not want my rape spoken about over breakfast cereal on the Today show' Mc Gowan said

She has said there was "pervasive verbal sexual harassment at NBC". "I told management they had a problem and they needed to keep an eye on him and how he deals with women". "Information HR instantly reported the matter to a senior employment lawyer at NBCUniversal (the "Firm"), the company guardian of the Information Division".

The results of NBC's internal investigation into Matt Lauer's inappropriate workplace behavior are in, and the network apparently found NO evidence of employees complaining about the former Today show host "prior to November 27, 2017".

He continued: "We can not change the past".

After the investigation was released, NBC News president Andy Lack wrote in a memo to staff that employees can now report these issues to both employee counselors and outside counsel. And the findings of the report - that no one in management knew about Lauer's behavior with junior colleagues - are not likely to quell that criticism.

His accusers told investigators they did not tell their managers or anyone in charge about their interactions with the former "Today" anchor.

"Quite a lot of people interviewed stated that Lauer could possibly be flirtatious, would ceaselessly make jokes, some with sexual overtones, and would overtly interact in sexually-oriented banter within the office", in accordance the report.

After his firing, three other women came forward with allegations involving Lauer that they said occurred between 2000 and 2007. "Many interviewed expressed shock upon studying press experiences relating to Lauer's alleged conduct, together with workers who spent important quantities of time with Lauer due to their job duties or having recognized him for years".

AT&T paid Trump lawyer for 'insights' on new administration
She claims Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen , paid her $130,000 to keep silent before the 2016 election. Shortly after Avenatti's tweet, AT&T admitted it retained Cohen for "insight" into the Trump administration .

Curry told The Washington Post that a woman came to her in 2012 saying Lauer had sexually harassed her, and that she had warned management about him.

It added, "Curry declined to share with the investigation team the identity of anyone in management with whom she spoke at the time or the identity of the woman who came to her with a complaint about Lauer".

"So how many women does it take to say he stole us?"

Some of the 68 people interviewed said they were aware of other rumored extramarital affairs in the news division. "The report tells us something important - that a number of employees feel they can not come forward with harassment allegations". But the women said they deflected Lauer's comments, and he did not pursue them. To critics, the button seemed an alarmingly useful tool for predatory behavior, but NBC said it is "a commonly available feature in executive offices" and does not lock the door from the inside.

NBC also addressed Lauer's now-infamous "button", a device under his desk that allowed him to close his office door without standing up. "Two of the four complainants who came forward said that they believe former NBC News or Today Show leadership knew or must have known about Lauer's alleged inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace", the report said, noting that many employees who were questioned brought up allegations in past tabloid reports about Lauer's behavior".

The report did include several recommendations for the network's news division, including more employee training and making it easier for employees to report harassment.

The statement continued, "A more effective way to make employees feel better, safer or more confident about coming forward with stories of misconduct is to make sure there is an independent investigation".
